Oversee and document different stages of trial runs per the qualification processes. Oversee and document Engineering Builds, develop a robust production flow and meet DVP requirements. Oversee and document Manufacturing Builds, run products under mass production conditions, meet PVP requirements, identify key process parameter windows, and document them. Collaborate with Quality Engineering for PPAP approval and PSA (Production Start Approval). Solve manufacturing process issues thoughout product lifecycle. Qualifications and Attributes: Bachelor's degree in engineering (manufacturing, industrial, textile engineering or equivalent). At least 5 years' experience in manufacturing qualification and mechanical design experience in production development. Knowledge of Soft Goods industry, preferably bags, backpacks, luggage, or outdoor gear is a must. Experience and knowledge of materials and tooling typically utilized in YETI's soft good products, including processes such as cut and sew, RF welding, injection molding, and materials such as woven and knit fabrics, nonwovens, laminated textiles, adhesives, metal components, plastic hardware, dyeing and printing techniques. Must be able to review product designs by evaluating tech packs and engineering drawings. Experienced in problem solving methodology, statistical tools, and lean production. Excellent interpersonal and presentation and communication skills. Ability to work independently while leading and influencing cross functional teams and being a team player. Project Management and/or Quality Engineering experience is a plus.
