As the Head of Footwear Creation, Asia, you will be the senior brand-side leader in Vietnam, entrusted to unify our creation teams and ensure every shoe that is created in our partner factories are a testament to our commitment to quality, excellence, craft and innovation. Your story You are a seasoned footwear creation leader with over 15 years of experience in the industry, including a strong track record in senior roles close to manufacturing in Asia. Deeply technical and execution-focused, you bring end-to-end fluency across the footwear creation lifecycle, from upper and tooling engineering to pattern development, materials, construction methods, and quality standards, particularly in the performance segment. You are a strategic architect of process and scale. You understand the operating models required to build footwear of varying complexity and know how to deploy the right systems, capabilities, and tools, including PLM, 3D, and predictive testing to drive speed, consistency, and quality at scale. As an autonomous and inspiring leader, you combine strategic thinking with operational clarity. You plan effectively, lead with empathy, and create high-performing environments grounded in trust, accountability, and shared purpose. You thrive in complex ecosystems and know how to bring people together across geographies and cultures. Whether you're in the creation centre, factory floor or in a global leadership meeting, you act as a unifier and a strong advocate for the brand and its values. In short As On's Head of Footwear Quality, a key player in the sourcing organization for the premium quality vision, you are responsible for driving On's footwear manufacturing quality projects and quality improvements across all product categories. In your role, you will partner closely with our Product Creation, and the different functions within the sourcing organization (Sourcing Operations, Material, Development & Engineering, etc.). Your Mission You drive footwear quality projects and improvement actions with key stakeholders towards higher customer satisfaction and lower warranty rate You own the Footwear Manufacturing Quality Manual, capitalize best practices and lead the implementation across product categories You standardize quality processes, to eliminate quality risk while improving team collaboration You build a network of a quality audit team, you drive quality performance across all production sites You build strong relationships within our team and with our manufacturing partners, inspire a culture of premium quality You build effective relationships with key stakeholders to ensure sufficient support for the success of the projects You anticipate and evaluate product risk at development stages Your story An entrepreneurial and open mindset, an eagerness for differentiation and a natural push for manufacturing excellence 10 years plus of experience in sourcing or manufacturing (across in-house and/or OEM environments) of high performance products Have 'deep' experience driving quality excellence Native to a complex reporting organization, you are highly collaborative This position is based in Vietnam, with frequent travel to Zurich, Indonesia and China; our working language is English

Your Mission Your mission will be to lead the inline and innovation compound engineering team, developing, and implementing cutting-edge compound technologies to create high-performance, sustainable materials that redefine underfoot sensation. You will drive the efforts of manufacturing excellence and putting in place documentations and processes and contribute to our operations more robust and transparent. You will be in charge of bringing on board state of the art partners and through continuous innovation, you'll push the boundaries of materials, technology, and processes, while keeping the big picture in mind. Polymer Innovation & Development: Lead the development and validation of innovative polymer compounds (midsole, outsole, speed board) for footwear applications, from concept through to inline production and ensure the scalability of new development Integrate sustainable materials into polymer development, aligned with On's sustainability goals. Explore novel technologies, processing methods, and cross-industry innovations to future-proof product pipelines. Manufacturing Excellence & Process Implementation: Evaluate current material and manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for improved performance, efficiency, and sustainability. Define and maintain chemical engineering documentation, including: Compound formulation documentation; VOC reduction guidelines and data frameworks; Process audit frameworks for compound production Drive standardization of bonding processes and engineering guidelines to support consistent, high-quality production. Cross-functional Leadership & Collaboration Collaborate closely with internal teams (Innovation, Product Development, Operations) and external partners (material suppliers, factories). Support costing team on price negotiation with suppliers. Lead knowledge-sharing and upskilling initiatives around polymer materials, compliance, and best practices. Your story MSc (or higher) in Polymer Science, Material Science, compound engineering or a related discipline. 10 years of hands-on experience in compound engineering and leadership, with a strong focus on innovation, performance materials, and sustainability. Deep understanding of manufacturing processes like IM , CMP , SCIF, SCF, high pressure injection molding Proven experience in driving complex projects collaborating with diverse stakeholders to scale up novel material solutions from concept to global supply chain integration. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with fluency in English required; additional language skills are a plus.
